Welcome to Southernmost Sailing School. By accessing our website, booking a course, or participating in our programs, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Southernmost Sailing School provides sailing instruction, certification courses, and related training services in Key West, Florida.

All courses are subject to availability, weather conditions, and instructor scheduling.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Full or partial payment may be required to reserve your spot.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received.

  • Payments are processed through secure third-party providers.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To ensure fairness and availability for all students, Southernmost Sailing School maintains the following cancellation and rescheduling policy:

  1. Notice Requirement
    Students must provide written notice to cancel or reschedule their in-person training at least 30 days prior to the scheduled start date.

  2. Rescheduling Window
    If a student chooses to reschedule, the new training dates must be scheduled within six (6) months of the originally booked course dates.

  3. Non-Refundable Deposit
    A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your training dates and is not refundable under any circumstances.

  4. Final Payment
    The remaining course balance is due seven (7) days prior to the start of in-person training.

  5. Late Cancellations
    Cancellations made less than 30 days before the scheduled start date may result in forfeiture of all payments made.

  6. No-Shows
    Failure to attend scheduled training without prior notice will result in forfeiture of all fees.

Southernmost Sailing School reserves the right to reschedule training due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will be offered alternative dates.

4. Safety & Participation

All students must:

  • Follow instructor guidance at all times

  • Wear appropriate safety gear

  • Act responsibly on the vessel

  • Disclose relevant medical conditions

Southernmost Sailing School reserves the right to remove any participant who behaves in a way that jeopardizes safety.

5. Liability Waiver

All students are required to sign a liability waiver before participating.

Sailing involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, weather conditions, water hazards, and physical activity. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Southernmost Sailing School is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage except as required by law.

6. Health & Fitness

You are responsible for ensuring you are physically capable of participating in sailing activities. Please notify us in advance of any medical conditions that may affect your participation.

7. Certification & Testing

Certification is awarded based on demonstrated skill, knowledge, and successful completion of required exams.

Completion of a course does not guarantee certification.

8. Photography & Media

We may take photos or videos during classes for promotional purposes.

By participating, you grant permission for Southernmost Sailing School to use images or videos in marketing materials unless you notify us in writing.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, text, images, and materials are the property of Southernmost Sailing School and may not be used without permission.

10. Third-Party Services

Our website may link to third-party platforms such as payment processors, review sites, or social media. We are not responsible for their policies or practices.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Any disputes shall be handled in Florida courts.
